STERIS FINN-AQUA`S Life Sciences manufacturing facility located in Tuusula which currently employs 180 professionals in engineering, finance, operations, marketing, quality, and information technology, along with a manufacturing/fabricating team is now looking for a
DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
who leads the Finland based STERIS Finn-Aqua manufacturing operations and is directly responsible for the customer project management, engineering, supply chain, manufacturing and new product development of the Finn-Aqua products.
You will work closely with cross-functional support teams including Product Management, HR, Quality, Service, Finance, Safety and Sales. As a Director of Operations, you are the Finn-Aqua manufacturing facility leader, you develop and execute an organizational vision while managing the overall Finn-Aqua plant operations, financial result, and employee performance.
You are an experienced leader with a strategic mindset and decision-making skills. You can empower and motivate people and you are able to delegate. You are an effective communicator with a skill to listen. You lead by integrity and reliability, and you believe in constant learning and personal development.
You will report to the General Manager of Global Life Sciences Equipment & Service at STERIS Corporation.
Your responsibilities are
- Acting as the primary leader of Finn-Aqua`s customer project management, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain operations.
- Leading technology research, new product development (NPD) and sustaining engineering and design control activities of Finn-Aqua product lines.
- Providing leadership and vision for the Finn-Aqua Group to foster a strong cross-functional team spirit and a culture of collaboration and accountability while supporting Life Sciences’ strategic imperatives.
- Leading the organization in driving for KPI goals (product quality, on-time shipment, production efficiency, etc).
- Maintaining a safe work environment and quality culture based on lean and continuous improvement.
- to partnership and collaborate with STERIS’s internal stakeholders globally (sales, service, marketing, etc.) and engage other technology leaders across STERIS.
We expect you to have
- Bachelor’s or Master´s Degree
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience as a leader within a global organization
- Experience in project engineering & made-to-order manufacturing
- Experience in Quality Management Systems
- Experience in Lean manufacturing
- Excellent verbal and written skills in Finnish and English
- Fluent with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
