Yandex Oy has a data center in Mäntsälä. Its main function is to provide data center services for Yandex NV Europe. Besides running and keeping up the data center services, Yandex Oy maintains the property and sells excess heat generated by the servers to the city of Mäntsälä.
Yandex Oy is now looking for an
IT TEAM LEAD
of IT support group at the Mäntsälä data center.
Yandex services lives in our own data centers. Data centers are, on the one hand, engineering equipment, and on the other — tens of thousands of servers we have designed.
Maintenance of the IT infrastructure of the data center is an important process, and we are looking for an active, initiative, responsible and determined IT Team Lead to support it. We expect that you will work in the data center, organize the work of the server equipment support group and be responsible for all IT tasks. The IT team lead reports to Yandex NV Europe.
The tasks include the following
- planning regular IT tasks in the data center;
- participating in the improvement of the efficiency of the data center processes;
- managing the IT support team: setting goals, planning tasks and controlling execution;
- collaborating with related departments and external contractors;
- analyzing problems and abnormal situations, and finding the root causes;
- reporting on the work of the IT support team;
- working hands-on with data center operations and repairing server equipment
You will succeed in the position when you have
- university or applied university education;
- good techical skills and practical experience in planning and solving technical problems;
- team management experience of more than two years;
- knowledge of the data center work, and server and network equipment;
- basic knowledge of Linux and the command line;
- knowledge of the ITIL methodology, and the operational activities of the technical support service (ITSM);
- knowledge in project planning and management;
- MS Excel skills at advanced level (pivot tables, formulas, lists, graphs);
- skills of making English presentations using PowerPoint or similar;
The advantages will be:
- ITIL certification, PMI Certification, skills of using BPMN and knowledge of the Russian language
