Teknos is developing its operations based on the Group Strategy, and is looking for an
Operations Director
to become member of the Finnish Management Team, reporting to the Managing Director in Finland, and in the matrix to the Chief Operations Officer. The position is located in Helsinki.
As Operations Director you are leading the operations in Finland, organising, monitoring and developing the operations processes, ensuring that products and services are produced efficiently and delivered to customers in time and with agreed service levels. You are also in charge of the Pitäjänmäki plant.
In your role you are reviewing and developing performance by managing purchases, manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, transportation and logistics services. You are actively following quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times as well as costs and efficiency, analyzing data to assess improvement needs. You are responsible for budgeting and investments for your organisation. This position also includes responsibility for process liability, EHS processes and legislation compliance in operations.
While dealing with external and internal stakeholders, you are evaluating customer needs, negotiating with suppliers and business partners, while optimising manufacturing efficiency and services supporting and developing Teknos Oy business.
To be successful in this role you need to have solid experience in manging operations and logistics, preferably within the chemical process industry. You have an applicable technical or logistic education, and an extensive track record from performing successfully in an international industrial environment.
As a person you are a strong people leader and a team player with outstanding analytical, problem solving and organizational skills. You work independently, handling multiple projects while communicating fluently in Finnish and English.
