QEHS Manager
Spinnova aims to disrupt the whole textile industry. We have developed a unique technology platform to produce the world’s most sustainable textile fibres, without using any harmful chemicals. We can produce the fibres from multiple raw materials, including wood, and agricultural waste, such as wheat straw, leather waste and textile waste.
We are now looking for QEHS Manager to help us to achieve our mission. We want you to share our passion for sustainability and be excited to join in a company that has the potential to transform the raw material base of the entire global textile industry.
Based in our headquarters in Jyväskylä, you will be a key member of Spinnova, reporting to our Chief of Operations, and working closely with our management team. As Spinnova is a fast-growing scale-up, you will have the opportunity to grow with the company to maximize your full potential.
In this role you will be:
- Leading the company’s quality, environment, health, and safety development projects, and their integration in the company operations
- Ensuring that the Company complies with its regulatory QEHS requirements as a listed company
- Implementing tools and processes as needed to develop the QEHS function
- Supporting in other QEHS matters, including official audits, and site inspections.
- Training employees on QEHS topics
- Working with external QEHS professionals and officials as needed
To excel in this role, your background should include:
- Bachelor or Master level Engineering degree education, or similar
- 7+ years of work experience from process or technology industry
- Hands on experience from ISO standard based QEHS development projects
- Solid expertise on QEHS related legislation and regulations
- Hands on experience from safety walks, site inspections, and official audits
You should have solid experience in some of these topics:
- Knowhow in relation to environmental and safety requirements in industry context
- Knowhow about safety aspects of technology development, and their implementation in process and equipment design
- Knowhow in relation to the environmental requirements for factory construction and the related development projects
- Hands-on experience on implementing product safety requirements in production
We also appreciate
- Experience of official construction permits and the related application processes
- Experience of recycling and waste management operations and process implementation
- Knowhow about circular economy

- Are fluent in English, both verbally and in writing. Fluency in Finnish in considered an advantage.
