The Managing Director is responsible for:

  • Full accountability and P&L responsibility for Oy Tomra Ab. A principal focus will be the development of strategy and subsequent tactics/plans for maintaining and growing the current market and business streams along with new business opportunities, and the effective execution of those strategies & plans.
  • Developing and implementing strategies that are forward-thinking and innovative to create new channels/ markets and incentives to drive profitable growth
  • Managing, leading and inspiring the Finland organization in the daily work as well as in creating the strategic objectives that moves the company forward.
  • Developing and coaching the organization to a highly efficient team
  • Maintaining and further developing business partnership with existing and potential customers, partners, suppliers, the system operator and relevant other stakeholders.

Who are we looking for?

To be successful as MD, you have at least ten years of progressive management experience culminating with experience as a GM, President or other C-Level Executive for a business. You have experience in building and leading a business or division, responsibility of a P&L. Sales and/or commercial background is a must and you have significant experience in building great relationships with external stakeholders. You have proven ability to build, lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams and influencing groups. You have strong analytical, interpersonal, organizational and collaboration skills. You excel in communication (oral and written) as well as in your ability to influence and motivate. You ideally have experience from an external competitive environment and are able to manage change. Start-up or a high growth experience and experience from retail is strongly preferred.

You value the history, experience and skills within the organization and enjoy working at high speed and have good self-esteem to handle pressure and adversity without losing your energy. You are fluent in Finnish and English (another Scandinavian language is a plus) and have an educational background with a  Master’s Degree in Business or other related field.

The position will report into the Senior Vice President Northern Europe. You will be a member of the Tomra Northern Europe Management Team.
