Combi Works sells in Finland, Estonia, Sweden, Denmark and certain smaller markets.
Our manufacturing is in Europe and Asia but Combi Works has assembly and warehouse functions in Estonia which also needs to develop their quality functions.
In line with its growth strategy Combi Works is strengthening the organisation and is hiring a
Quality Manager
to lead the quality processes of a cross functional and multinational team. The quality manager reports to the Chief Procurement Officer but develops the quality processes and supplier auditing. You will support the CPO in all quality related issues internally and externally.
The goal is to grow our market position and develop our service model to develop the circular economy aspects of our business.
The job entails traveling. Manufacturing is in both EU, Eastern Europe and Asia and new sources should be developed to secure closer to market suppliers. The job also includes consulting Combi Works project managers regarding production methods and interacting with customers related to manufacturing decisions, technology choices and product development feedback. Customers are situated in Nordics and Baltic’s, but expansion is in the plans.
Your main responsibilities
- Developing the quality process in external production partners and building standardized quality processes
- Implement full Quality Management System to gain ISO9001 certification
- Plan and execute internal audits of company processes / procedures
- Supplier auditing (requires travel across Europe and infrequently Asia)
- Customer Complaints / Nonconformity handling
- Claims handling and settlements with customers / suppliers
- Able to lead hands on supplier development activities when needs arise to improve a supplier’s maturity and manufacturing excellence / quality performance
- Support cost reduction activities in the supply chain
- Lead external customer and governing body audits
In order to be successful in this position, we expect from you:
- Must have hands on engineering experience ideally in mechanical and/or industrial type environments
- Experience in supplier quality management and/or development
- Understanding of ISO9001 both from implementation / certification, management and maintenance
- Working knowledge of basic tools / methods such as AQL, Control Plans / Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), FMEAs,
- Understanding of ISO14001 and potential to learn / implement a sustainability program across the supply chain
- Quality and precision-oriented mindset and willingness to seek new solutions Education & Skills
- Bilingual in Finnish and English.
- Managerial work experience
- Bachelors / Masters in engineering or science related field
