Finnish Design is the world’s largest online store specialized in Nordic design. Our selection includes over 300 design brands that fit the Nordic lifestyle, such as Artek, Vitra, Muuto, Hay, Iittala, and Marimekko. 

We deliver our products quickly to over 180 countries. Our main markets are Finland, the United States, Europe, Australia, and numerous Asian countries. 

Our offices are located in Helsinki and Turku, where our showroom is also located. Our contract sales serve companies and interior design professionals. Finnish Design Shop Studio, aimed at consumers, offers interior design services. Additionally, our portfolio includes Franckly, an online marketplace for pre-owned design items. In 2023, our total revenue exceeded 58 million euros, and we are proud to employ around 130 skilled employees. As our operations grow rapidly, we are now looking for an  

eCOM SALES & CUSTOMER DIRECTOR

 for a P&L responsible role. 

Are you a growth-oriented sales leader with experience in leading e-commerce sales? Do you enjoy daily online sales activities and monitoring? Do you like to come up with new campaigns and actions at a fast pace? Could this be your role? 

This is a new position at Finnish Design Shop and the selected person will be responsible for: 

  • Developing and implementing the sales strategy for the Finnish Design Shop online store and ensuring profitable daily sales 
  • Managing e-commerce customer relationships with the goal of increasing customer lifetime value (CLV) 
  • Strengthening our company’s data-driven culture by actively analyzing online sales metrics 
  • Working closely with marketing, assortment and category management, development and IT, and logistics to ensure excellent customer satisfaction
  • Leading a team of e-commerce sales and customer service professionals. 

We expect you to have: 

  • Strong leadership experience 
  • Good strategic and operational understanding of e-commerce sales and proven track record of growing sales in e-commerce or omnichannel retail 
  • Vision for increasing customer loyalty. You are also familiar with customer relationship management, lower funnel online sales channels (e.g., Google and Meta), marketing automation, CRM tools, and analytics programs. 
  • Analytical and data-driven thinking, and good problem-solving and decision-making skills 
  • A change-positive attitude suitable for a growth company and excellent leadership, collaboration, communication, and influencing skills 
  • A relevant higher education degree and fluency in English
