We are now looking for a
Senior Privacy Manager
to support the Sanoma Media Finland (SMF) business
Your responsibilities:
- Following privacy related regulations and enforcement actions in EU and Finland
- Contributing to SMF’s data strategy work, including public affairs support and industry standardization efforts pertaining to data and privacy.
- Helping business assess privacy impacts for new operations according to Sanoma’s Privacy by Design process.
- Developing privacy guidelines, providing privacy trainings and ad-hoc advise whilst leading a network of SMF “Privacy Champions”, who act as a first line support in business.
- Supporting business and technology in developing Privacy Enhancing Technologies, such as consent management capabilities and pseudonymization techniques.
- Maintaining statutory documentation, interfacing with Finnish data protection authorities.
- Reporting on privacy compliance to SMF senior management.
- Further develop Sanoma’s framework for ESG reporting from data perspective as part of the company’s sustainability strategy.
What we are looking for:
- Excellent communication and people management skills – whether with top management or operational project teams
- A Master’s degree in law, commercial, business, or political sciences, or other degree with relevant transferable skills
- Privacy certification (e.g. CIPP) is a plus
- Ability to quickly master new concepts and make good value judgments
- Sound command of Finnish and English language, both written and verbal

In addition to leading the SMF Privacy Champion network, you will supervise a Privacy Specialist in the legal team. You will report to the Group Director of Compliance and Privacy in Group Legal.
