We are growing rapidly and are seeking a HEAD OF FINANCE to join the multinational finance team building the scalable finance structures and processes.

Your tasks and responsibilities
This is a senior finance role responsible for the overall finance management of the local Finnish entity and leading the Finnish finance team. You will develop and implement a system of controls for all finance related processes to support the growth of the finance function. You will be providing financial analysis and support to the local MD, Board and Group finance. You are also responsible for financial reporting to the local authorities. You will be reporting to the Head of Finance – Europe.
The appointed actuary is working closely with you monitoring and maintaining company’s solvency position.
You will be joining company’s Investment and Risk and Compliance Committee. You will maintain the relationship and act as a contact point for the external auditors and tax consultants.
As the company is growing you will participate and support the on-boarding, integration and on-going management of new acquisitions. With the Group Treasurer you will be developing investment strategy and guidelines.
To be considered, we are looking for talented individuals who
- As a finance professional you always seek to provide high quality and accurate materials. Your analyses and commentaries are detailed and enable business leaders in their decision making. You have the ability to solve problems and to exercise sound judgement.
- have MSc in Accounting or equivalent
- have Insurance accounting knowledge and experience in Finland
- have good knowledge of Finnish GAAP as well as UK GAAP and Solvency II
- have experience in leading a finance team and good interpersonal skills
- have Finnish and English language skills, both written and spoken.
