TAX MANAGER
As a Tax Manager, you’ll bear the responsibility of collaborating with relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance with tax and customs regulations. Your role stretches from providing assistance, training, and support to our finance and business units on tax-related matters to developing comprehensive in-house tax processes, work methods, tools, systems, and an internal control environment concerning taxes. You, as a Tax Manager, have the vantage point for the company, and your work contributes to our strategy – helping customers in their transition to cleaner energy.
Your tasks will include
- Ensuring compliance with tax and customs regulations
- Improving the company’s knowledge and practices relating to tax and customs
- Preparing and maintaining governance documentation for tax-related processes
- Regularly updating your knowledge on changes in tax and customs legislation
- Developing and implementing new processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy in tax and compliance matters.
- Providing training and guidance to team members and stakeholders on tax-related concerns
- Developing and implementing tax strategies to ensure efficient tax planning
What are we looking for
- Result-oriented person with an eye for the right level of detail, comfortable working in a global team
- A hands-on attitude, positive and proactive mindset, and good communication skills
- An ability to manage multiple priorities and projects under pressure in a changing environment
- A systematic and structured way of working with a documentative style
- A co-operative and an open-minded team player who communicate and collaborate beyond units
- 5-7+ years relevant experience, ideally from an in-house tax department in a large, publicly listed company
- Prior experience from energy companies is a seen as an advantage
- A Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or similar
- Excellent knowledge of direct and indirect taxes such as VAT, Energy taxes, previous experience from transfer pricing related matters is seen as an advantage
- Fluent in both verbal and written English and Finnish
