

Lead international growth across four global leading brands
Nammo is looking for an experienced and commercially driven Sales Director, Commercial Ammunition to lead and further develop a significant international sales business.
You will assume responsibility for a sales portfolio, covering over 50 international markets and four globally recognised brands: Lapua, Vihtavuori, SK and Berger.
This is a broad commercial leadership role with the opportunity to shape how markets, distribution channels, customer relationships, production priorities are managed as one integrated business. You will join a growing and successful operation with strong brands, an established international network and genuine potential for further development.
You will report to the EVP, Commercial Ammunition, lead an experienced international sales team and serve as a member of the Commercial Ammunition Business Management Team.
Your role
You will develop the international sales strategy and lead its execution across approximately 30 markets. In the United States and other markets with local sales organisations, you will work closely with the respective teams to align commercial priorities and support the global development of the business.
Your task is to translate strategy and market insight into clear country-, segment- and product-specific priorities, sales plans and measurable actions. You will lead the commercial development of the Sport, Hunt, Rimfire and Reloading segments and strengthen the market position of the Lapua, Vihtavuori, SK and Berger brands.
You will guide an extensive network of importers/distributors, own distribution units and Rimfire Test Centers. An important part of the position is connecting market demand with product availability through reliable forecasting, clear commercial priorities and close cooperation with the manufacturing sites.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Leading the international sales strategy, annual planning and execution
- Delivering profitable growth across markets, segments and brands
- Leading and developing an experienced international sales team
- Developing the performance of importers, distributors and own distribution units
- Prioritising markets, customers, products based on potential and profitability
- Managing sales budgets, forecasts, reporting, pricing and margin development
- Strengthening cooperation between our customers, sales, marketing and production sites
- Leading the commercial aspects of product launches, portfolio changes and product life-cycle transitions
- Developing long-term relationships with key customers, importers/distributors and other partners
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory, licensing, export-control and safety requirements
What we expect from you
You have substantial experience in international sales and sales leadership, ideally from a business operating through distributors, importers or other indirect sales channels. You have delivered profitable growth across multiple markets and know how to turn commercial strategy into practical actions and measurable results.
You understand the dynamics of a complex, international product portfolio and are confident in making choices between markets, customers and products. You can combine a long-term commercial perspective with hands-on leadership and timely operational decision-making.
To succeed in the role, you will bring:
- A strong track record in international sales leadership and profitable growth
- Experience in leading and developing distributor or importer networks
- Strong competence in sales planning, forecasting, pricing, margin management and performance analysis
- Experience in leading experienced professionals or commercially responsible country and segment managers
- The ability to connect market demand, sales & production priorities
- Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
- A relevant university degree or equivalent professional competence
- Fluent English
Experience from the ammunition or defence industry, shooting sports, hunting, outdoor products, technical premium consumer products, international branded products or another regulated manufacturing environment is an advantage. Knowledge of Finnish is considered an advantage.
The position requires the ability to work regularly at Nammo’s Vantaa office.
