Yandex Oy has a data center in Mäntsälä. Its main function is to provide data center services for Yandex NV Europe. Besides running and keeping up the data center services, Yandex Oy maintains the property and sells excess heat generated by the servers to the city of Mäntsälä.
As the previous position holder is moving on in his carrier, Yandex Oy is now looking for
DATA CENTER MANAGER
to take this responsible and exciting position to be the manager in charge of the operations, making sure the company processes and SLA’s are working smoothly. This executive role will have CAPEX and OPEX budget responsibilities and play a key leadership role as the head of a team of 20+ highly performing professionals. The data center manager reports to Yandex NV Europe.
You will succeed in the position when you
- Have good management skills and proven experience in managing similar positions.
- Experience of maintaining property as well as running production sites with lots of electricity consumption.
- Preferably have technical background, certificate of Master of Science (Industrial engineering and management).
- Have excellent communication skills and find this role of public appearance appealing.
- Balanced and practical approach to leadership – ability to understand the business needs and at the same time be independent in local level procedures in line with other data centers.
- Have professional capabilities in English language, Russian capabilities are a bonus.
