We are now looking for a
Business Controller
Are you a business-oriented, analytical financial professional driven by accuracy, responsibility, and results? Do you want to help build Finland’s leading company in the TOY and PARTY retail sectors? We are gaining a strong foothold in Sweden, and our goal is to expand further into the Nordic countries in the coming years. If you recognize your capabilities, we have a challenge for you.
Toyrock Group is seeking a Business Controller to ensure the performance of financial management and to support business decision-making and growth according to financial facts and strategy. The goal is to translate strategic objectives into tactical and operational activities across different functions.
Your Team
You will work with the finance and administration team, which currently consists of three (3) people, and you will report to the CFO. You will be responsible for developing business processes and systems in collaboration with our organization, as well as working with external partners and business functions.
Your Responsibilities
As a Business Controller, you will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting financial data to support business decisions, as well as overseeing internal accounting, reporting, and development projects. Specifically, your responsibilities include:
- Producing monthly reports
- Forecasting of different areas
- Participating in budgeting processes
- Developing the reporting and forecasting processes and ensuring their accuracy
- Supporting business units with financial insights to improve performance
- Identifying areas for operational efficiency and business development based on financial analysis
- Supporting the financial statement process, the responsibility for this is with external accounting partners

We also expect you to bring
We expect you to bring several years of experience in a Controller or Business Controller role. You may have gained experience in a growing business environment or an international brand.
We also expect you to bring:
- A relevant commercial higher education degree combined with experience in a similar role
- Strong analytical skills, knowledge of accounting, cash flow calculations, and tools
- IT skills, including Excel and various financial management systems
- A development-oriented mindset, proficiency in budgeting and strategic planning
- An understanding of B2B commerce (e-commerce, retail, and events)
- The ability to work at both strategic and operational levels
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven courage to speak your mind and recommend what should be done
- Fluent skills in Finnish and English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Swedish is an advantage
- A hands-on, practical development approach, particularly enthusiasm for developing systems
- The ability to collaborate cross-functionally to drive business performance
