The Head of ICT is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the IT operations, infrastructure, and strategy within the organization partnering with the key business stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical expertise, program management, supplier management & strategic vision in IT, new technology and new digital services. The Head of ICT will lead a small team of IT professionals supported by vendors, ensuring the smooth functioning of all IT systems and applications whilst delivering the initiatives to deliver the strategic roadmap aligned to both this anonymous local Company objectives and the wider International Group Company IT strategy.
Responsibilities
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders across departments to understand their technology needs and priorities. Collaborate closely with business leaders to align IT initiatives with strategic objectives. Collaborate closely with international and Nordic colleagues to find and learn the best practices
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement IT Roadmap & strategies aligned with organizational
goals. Identify emerging technologies and trends to drive innovation and competitive advantage. - Team Leadership: Provide guidance, mentorship, and direction to the IT team with real care. Foster
a collaborative and high-performance work culture based on our values. Delegate tasks effectively
and ensure clear communication channels within the team. - IT Infrastructure & Operations: Oversee the organizations Infrastructure and IT Operations ensuring
the delivery of high levels of services quality and adherence to KPIs and SLAs - Project Management: Manage IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to
budget, timeline, and quality standards. Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements,
prioritize tasks, and deliver solutions that meet business needs. - Vendor Management: Evaluate and select third-party vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage
vendor relationships. Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with service level
agreements. - Information Security: Implement global security policies and measures to protect sensitive data and
mitigate cyber threats. Ensure ongoing compliance to Groups global security standards. - IT Governance: Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistency,
efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Monitor and report on key performance indicators and IT
metrics. - Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Develop and manage the IT budget, allocating resources
effectively to support business objectives. Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize IT
expenditures
Skills & Experiences Required
- Proven experience in an IT leadership role. Minimum 5 years of experience in IT management or IT
Project / Program Management, with a proven track record of success or with experience of delivery ERP projects (for small to medium sized company). - Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate the team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in Finnish and English, with the ability to
convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. - Proficiency in
o Microsoft 365; MS Business Central, MS Power BI, MS Dynamics 365, MS Copilot.
o project management methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall. - Experience with IT governance frameworks such as COBIT (Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology) or ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library).
- Familiarity with information security standards and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), CISSP (Certified Information System Security Professionals), or ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) are desirable.
- Ability to analyse and report to top management
