One Click LCA is a SaaS platform that cuts carbon from buildings and construction, responsible for 40 % of world’s carbon emissions. One Click LCA is the world leader in its niche and it is used in 120 countries, and the system is configurable to adapt to different requirements. It integrates to more than dozen building design software via it’s API and connects to more than 60 environmental databases worldwide. One Click LCA is on the market since a decade and is moving to a more service-oriented architecture, comprising predominantly of Java- and Python-based modules. One Click LCA team of 50+ consist of 20 nationalities.

Responsibilities:
To advance development of the One Click LCA SaaS platform to a service-oriented architecture using modern cloud technologies. To design and to code, and as needed coordinate coding larger or complex components, services and capabilities for the overall system, using Java-based languages. Ensure integration of front-end, back-end and services and databases deliver consistent and good quality of code and service and allow for efficient and effective future development and maintenance. Investigate technical issues and opportunities and identify and deliver solutions. Review code from other developers and identify areas of improvement for the platform. Contribute to strategic decisions regarding technology and architecture in cooperation with others.
Skills
You are a self-starter who can take initiative to find a solution and get the results, you have delivered software to production. You have experience in server-based SW architecture, Java/JVM-based development, HTML/CSS/JavaScript or React and Spring/Hibernate/Stream. You can consider the end user point of view beforehand, asking help if needed. You are comfortable working on the platform even without understanding every detail. You have experience with databases (noSQL/SQL) and microservices & cloud architectures.
You are “Lazy” type of developer who rather solves a problem once in a way that keeps it solved. You have motivation to work for sustainability. Naturally inclined to find ways to improve the platform, processes, code and user experience. You are good team player and can communicate and co-operate with your teammates easily.
The role is available in Helsinki, Finland. The role requires full English fluency, Finnish language skill is not relevant.
