Our Physical Trading team is looking for two
INTRADAY TRADERS
Our growing company is seeking new full-time Intraday Traders to join our Physical Trading team; these positions are brand new here at Ilmatar. Main responsibilities as an Intraday Trader are operative trading tasks and upholding our continuous processes as a Balance Responsible Party. We are looking for a person with a passion to trade power and be on top of the market situation. We value a proactive, dependable, and analytical mindset and we offer a position where one can truly affect the outcome of the actual trading process and how we do things.
Trading Team has a very central position within Ilmatar. We are active in Nord Pool and Nasdaq power exchanges. We are constantly growing our market activities as well as building up state of art market analytics.
Responsibilities:
- Executing our aftermarket trading strategies in practice
- Monitoring our forecasts and systems
- Proactive decision-making in the market environment
- Focusing on BRP, REMIT and MAR compliance
- Communication to persons responsible for operational supervision of wind and solar parks
- Communication and responsibility of relationship with both internal and external market and business stakeholders
What we expect from you:
- A Bachelor’s/master’s degree in engineering, Science or Economics and Business Administration or similar qualifications
- Some background as a Physical Trader is desirable – practical experience in Intraday and reserve market trading is a very good starting point for this position
- Basic understanding of EMS software / multi-market optimization and experience of wind/solar production or energy storages are a big plus!
- Proactive communication skills and a very strong team player mindset
- Fluency in Finnish and English
- An ability and willingness to do shift work including night shifts is required
