Helmacab specializes in the development, production and sales of cables for Marine and Telecom applications and the roots of our business go all the way to 1905. We have operated on an international level for over 60 years delivering cabling solutions yearly to more than 1000 active customers in over 60 countries globally. We are one of the major Marine cable producers in the world, and known as the preferred partner for Marine cabling. In the telecommunication world we are world pioneers in Hybrid telecom cabling solutions, and the very first operational 5G services in the world were made with Helmacab cables.
Helmacab has two production sites in Finland in Kaarina and Hanko, and two subsidiaries in Shanghai and Holland. We employ 190 people in Finland and have 270 employees globally. Currently we are at a substantial growth phase and are investing heavily in both expanding our production capacity and recruiting new future cable manufacturing professionals to complete our team.
Production Manager, Kaarina
We’re looking for you! If you’re an experienced production professional with a strong drive to improve operations and lead teams to achieve greater results, this is the perfect opportunity for you. As the Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily production and maintenance operations, with a unique opportunity to influence both operational processes and workforce development directly.
What will you do?
- Responsible for Kaarina’s factory production, maintenance, occupational safety, ensuring that
everything runs on time, cost-effectively, and with excellent service and reliability levels. - Act as the site manager, while also taking care of the basics of operations, such as the functionality
of infrastructure and real estate. - Lead and motivate your teams: your leadership will inspire supervisors and operators to exceed
their daily goals. - Drive operational improvements: you’ll be implementing projects that raise our performance in
production efficiency and quality. - You are responsible for ramping up investments and increasing capacity, including developing staff skills and training
What do we expect from you?
- Strong manufacturing industry experience from large or medium-sized industrial companies.
- University degree (MSc or equivalent) and experience in process manufacturing and multishift
operations. - Exceptional leadership and management skills: you have the ability to motivate and develop
teams, and you can handle challenges decisively and effectively. - Experience of industrial IT systems and business process development.
- Expertise in plastic extrusion processes.
