In order to growth in line with the strategy and serve the customers in in the best possible way, Teknos Oy will be hiring an
R&D Director
to become member of the Finnish Management Team, reporting to the Managing Director in Finland, and in the matrix to the Group R & D Director. The position is located in Helsinki.
As R&D Director you will be responsible for managing the Finnish R&D organization with 90 employees, including the R & D roadmap, the action plan and the budget.
In your role you develop the working environment through leading and coaching the R&D employees and the organization. You are striving for an innovative culture with an excellent working climate, supporting your teams and experts in new product development, improvement of existing products, project management and production support in line with the Teknos Group strategy.
This position also includes overall responsibility for product and raw material safety and compliance of chemical legislation in Finland, implementation and development of group R&D tools as well as continuous improvement and corrective actions and processes.
You will be supporting local business and sales with the R&D organization according to the Teknos Oy roadmap and business plans, and participate actively in various internal working groups, task forces and teams with all relevant stakeholders and functions to support and develop Teknos Oy business.
To be successful in this role you need to have a proven track record in leading a technical expert organization with a result driven execution. You have strong R&D background with a suitable education and with solid experience in chemistry related products. Experience in the paints and coatings industry is considered as an asset, but your background could also be for example in the food, pharma, paper or construction materials industry.
As a person you are a strong people leader and a team player with outstanding organizational skills. You are used to working in an international environment, and you have excellent communication skills both in Finnish and English languages.
