Myrsky Energia is a Finnish energy company which invests in renewable energy solutions. Our goal is to grow into a significant renewable energy company first in Finland and then in the Nordic region.
Our focus of operations is currently on wind power. We will enable wind power investments in Finland more than 2,000 megawatts by 2030.
There are currently more than 30 wind farm projects in Myrsky Energia portfolio, of which 15 are already in zoning phase. Our company values guide our activities: in cooperation, locally and respecting nature.
As the operation grows, we are looking for
WIND ANALYST
Wind analyst is responsible for windfarm wind layout planning and evaluation and wind farm capacity factor evaluation and optimization. You will also be responsible for planning, coordinating, and tracking the quality of the wind measurement campaigns for wind farm projects.
Responsibilities:
- Windfarm turbine layout planning and evaluation and parameters affecting wind farm production and capacity factor evaluation and optimization
- Planning, coordinating, and tracking the quality of the wind measurement campaigns for wind farm projects
- Reviewing & maintaining wind measurement campaign documentation that fulfills the best industry practices
- Arranging the third-party Energy Yield Assessments applicable for the investment decision processes of thewind farm projects
- Reviewing the third-party Energy Yield Assessments and the turbine tender site suitability reports
- Providing input and expertise for the layout optimization of the wind farm development projects and for thewind turbine tendering processes
- Providing expertise to asset management team to monitor the performance of the operational wind farmassets and find the root causes of deviations to the expected yield, together with identifying possible ways tooptimize the performance of the operational turbine assets
- Procurement and management of leased or company owned wind measuring equipment
- Other areas related to layout analysis from a competence point of view for example noise, blink, otherenvironmental and sustainability related matters (nature, archeology, habitant/housing)
Requirements:
- Several years of experience from wind analysis consultancy, research, or turbine OEM site suitability assessments
- Analytical problem-solving skills and ability to utilize data-analytics programs and execute analysis of the wind farm big-data to write scientific text
- Understanding of wind turbine technology and SCADA data considered as a benefit
- Understanding the civil works aspects affecting the layout optimization of the wind farm projects is seen as amajor benefit
- Preliminary proficiency of coding principles
- Basic proficiency of location data programs and analyzing tools
- You have experience and evidence of wind analyzes and their interpretation
- Experience on the productivity analyzes of the wind park
- Proficiency of wind engineering software programs for example Winpro etc.
- Native or fluent Finnish and fluent English language, Swedish will be seen as advantage
