Biila is an internationalizing Finnish car transfer service operating in Finland and Sweden. Biila’s service platform brings together those who need car transfers and independent drivers who carry out car transfers by driving. Biila’s car transfer service is mainly used by car dealerships, car rental companies and service companies. The revenue in 2023 was EUR 9.2 million. Biila currently operates in Finland and Sweden, with plans to expand to new markets and triple revenues within a couple of years. The goal is to be the leading provider of car transfer services in the Nordic countries by 2025. The company currently employs 37 people in Finland and Sweden. Biila’s car transfer service has about 1900 active drivers and the service is widely used in the automotive industry. More than 90,000 vehicles were transferred through Biila’s platform in 2023, and this year the number is expected to exceed 150,000. 


The company’s operations are expanding internationally and experiencing strong growth. We are looking for you to join the dynamic Biila team as a  


MARKETING DIRECTOR


to take full responsibility for the development and management of Biila’s marketing, communication, and brand in Finland and international markets. Through your operations, you will ensure growth in line with Biila’s strategic goals in the current and new markets to which Biila is heading. You will be responsible for building and implementing Biila’s marketing and brand strategy. From a marketing perspective, you will be involved in planning and implementing Biila’s openings and growth in new markets. In this role, you will also be hands-on in taking Biila’s marketing to the next level. You will lead the international marketing and communications team and build a network of necessary marketing partners that will support Biila’s growth in internationalization by utilizing marketing automation and digitalization tools. You work in close cooperation with Biila’s various functions. You report to Biila’s CEO and act as an active member of the Management Team.   


What we expect from you:

  • Hunger, vision and ability to lead the marketing and communications of an internationalizing scale-up company.
  • Expertise in building and implementing marketing and brand strategy.
  • You are familiar with Growth Hacking both in theory and in practice.
  • You have experience in making and implementing a Go-to-market marketing plans.
  • Competence in using marketing technology solutions to support business growth. Experience in selecting and implementing technologies.
  • Experience in selecting and managing marketing partners.
  • Ability to measure marketing and utilize artificial intelligence extensively.
  • Experience of working in a growth company.
  • Experience in software or platform economy business.
  • Ability to understand and manage complexities.
  • Good social and collaboration skills, with the readiness to take on a leadership role in an international organization.
  • Project management skills
  • You are adaptable and able to convincingly influence and communicate.
  • You have business understanding and readiness to work in the management team.
  • Excellent English language skills. Finnish language skills are a plus.
