NEOT Oy is a significant independent fuel procurement company in the Baltic Sea region and it also actively operate on the global trading market. We specialize in oil and renewable products wholesale in Finland, Sweden and Norway. NEOT is owned by SOK and St1 Nordic Oy and we work in close cooperation with Neots owners. Annually we supply roughly 6 billion litres of fuel products to owners’ operations, including large service station chains St1, ABC and Shell. We employ around 50 people with an office located in central Helsinki.

YOUR ROLE
As a member of NEOT’s trading team, you will work closely with NEOT’s operations and logistics, risk management, business controlling and sustainability teams. You will also have frequent interaction with St1 refinery as well as St1 Trading and Logistic business unit.
Even if working as a middle distillate trader, biofuels are an essential part of our operating environment and influence all our activities, so you are expected to have a genuine interest towards biofuels and acquire sufficient knowledge within bio to fully optimize the middle distillate book.
NEOT is a very hands-on organisation with low level of bureaucracy so you will be expected to both assist when unexpected issues arise as well as be comfortable in taking decisions.
Main responsibilities
- Trading of physical middle distillate. Enter and report deals into our business system.
- Managing the price risk. Monitor and steer inventory levels dependent on market conditions
- Distillate blending and optimization
- Contribute to the short- and long-term planning of the middle distillate pool.
- Discuss with St1 Refinery how to optimize the middle distillate pool. Sell and purchase components and products to support chosen strategy.
- Monitor the Oil and Distillate Market. Share your expertise with other parts of the organisation.
- In close co-operation with the Bio trader optimize the Bio fulfillment for middle distillate pool.

Qualifications:
- University degree from a relevant field.
- Minimum couple years’ experience from the commodity industry or nearby field.
- Previous Oil Trading experience will be highly valued but not a requirement for applying.
- We have the flexibility to design the role from a Junior position to a Senior position dependent on the applicant’s background.
