Product Specialist – Life Science & Molecular Biology

Finland | Field-based | Scientific Consultative Sales

At AH diagnostics, we are looking for a scientifically credible and commercially minded Product Specialist to develop our business and customer relationships across Finland. This role goes beyond traditional sales, it is a consultative, high-autonomy position where you act as a trusted advisor to researchers, laboratory professionals, and decision-makers within life science, pharma, biotech, healthcare, and academia www.ahdiagnostics.fi

You will work with advanced technologies and solutions within molecular biology and diagnostics, helping customers solve scientific challenges and improve their workflows through expert guidance and long-term partnership building.

About the role

As Product Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and managing customer relationships throughout Finland. You will work independently in a small team of professionals in Finland while being supported by a larger Nordic organization of around 50 colleagues.

The role combines:

  • Scientific understanding

You will manage a broad product portfolio covering technologies such as:

  • qPCR
  • NGS
  • DNA/RNA purification
  • Sample preparation
  • Western blotting
  • Molecular diagnostics workflows

You will act as the bridge between advanced laboratory technologies and customer needs, translating scientific challenges into practical and commercially valuable solutions.

Your key responsibilities

Consultative scientific sales

  • Understand customer needs through active dialogue and relationship building
  • Translate scientific and laboratory challenges into tailored product solutions
  • Create long-term value for customers through expertise, trust, and strong communication
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with researchers and decision-makers

Customer acquisition & field activity

  • Visit customers across Finland
  • Develop relationships within life science, pharma, biotech, diagnostics, healthcare, and academia
  • Attend seminars, conferences, exhibitions, and industry events
  • Build and maintain professional networks within the Finnish scientific community

Portfolio & solution selling

  • Manage a broad portfolio of multiple international suppliers
  • Support customers across complete workflows from sample preparation to analysis and diagnostics
  • Identify new opportunities and grow existing customer accounts

Pipeline & CRM management

  • Build and maintain a structured sales pipeline
  • Drive consistent customer activity and follow-ups
  • Plan and manage your territory independently and proactively
  • Maintain high-quality CRM processes and sales forecasting

You understand that successful sales in life science are built through credibility, consistency, and genuine customer understanding.

We expect you to have

  • A degree in Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, Molecular Medicine, Biomedicine, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or similar
  • Experience from life science, laboratory, diagnostics, biotech, or scientific sales environments
  • Strong communication skills in both Finnish and English, written and spoken
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Willingness to travel regularly within Finland

Experience with molecular biology techniques and workflows such as qPCR, NGS, nucleic acid purification, or immunodetection methods is considered an advantage.
